2022 'Thatch and Clay' Touriga

Vibrant ruby red, a touch of purple at the rim. Fragrant mulberry, rose petal and white pepper on the nose. Medium weighted bright purple fruits with layer upon layer of sweet spices and floral notes. A delightful wine that has an easy slippery glide to it and will no doubt develop further over time

Classic perfume of Touriga with violet and dried rose, boiled XMAS pudding, some ripe red fruit, dried herbs and dark spice. It also has a little of that chlorine smell that I often find in Australian Touriga, though it's a complexing element here, rather than being overt. It's medium-bodied, offers a good amount of flavour with some cranberry acidity, ripe raspberry, some ferrous character, grainy tannin grip, and a juicy finish that falls sweet and savoury, with a twist od blood orange/amaro stuff. Distinctive and different.
